Ham Radio Workshop Day 3
Today was day 3 of the ham radio workshop. This time the workshop was from 7:00am-12:00 instead of 7:00-11:00. We discussed a lot. Such as the things you can do with the ham radio such as talk to people in space. Also, talking to people in Antarctica, Australia and so many other places. We also talked about how the radio signals use ionizing layer to travel the signal. Since signals have to go straight but there is sometimes mountains blocking the signal so the signal gets by the mountains by using ionizing layer. There was so much we learned today. Then we saw a video about emergencies handled with ham radio. The test for ham radio is Friday. But unfortunately I have band practice Thursday and Friday so I can't go to the class but I'm sure the band teacher will allow me to miss a hour or 30 minutes to do the test. Huh. Band practice it tomorrow, I don't feel like going but I'll go. Also, we got out ham radio books today.
